h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

To enter, all you have to do is leave your name and user number.
To enter someone else, leave there name and a link to their page.
So, if you wanted to nominate someone else, for example me, you would write:

If you wish to enter along with someone else in a "team", then not only give your name and user number, but theirs as well. I would also need confimation of their entry - anyone who is nominated by someone else will be asked on their homepage if they want to enter. If they say they do not, or are silent, then they will not be entered.

I can't see the bikini pic either, and the fotango site is down. pehaps they've been innundated with pics - I know I've sent them six rolls of film in the past fortnight, and now I know about uploading images to them as well I was intending to upload a ton of stuff.

I'll try to sort it out tomorrow, see if fotango have bought themselves a few more hard drives etc...

I won't be entering this year.........funny, I didn't enter myself or vote for myself last year so I don't know how I cheated.........never even campaigned for myself or "got any of my friends to vote for me".

Regardless, this has left a bad taste in my mouth and I think I'll just stay away from it.

I HOPE that the 'cheating' line was intended as a 'friendly jibe' that just came off badly, rather than as the baseless and unnecesary accusation it seems to be.

We floor 42 people are also h2g2 people - part of your community and - I assume - entitled to take part in h2g2 events. Popular events like this one should encourage people from different parts of the community to cross each others' paths. I'm sure that was the intention, but it's blown off course a bit by comments that seem calculated to divide.

In my humble opinion, Emmy should come back and play - lest I have to don a bikini myself to take her place, and I'm pretty sure that's something NONE of us wants. bubster
