Bikini Competition in the h2g2 Post
The Cheese Started conversation Jan 5, 2000
Using the latest possible results (probably Thursday), I will write an article for the Post on the competiton. I'll most likely include each entry that got more any votes and the winner, along with the "don't vote for Bluebottle" thing. Does anyone have any other quotes they'd like me to add?

Oops...too late. I quoted from the other forums, and it got put in.

Well, any time you'd like the favour returned, let me know..
How's your ticket office going?

The Cheese Posted Jan 18, 2000
I've sold none so far , but it hasn't been up a day, so I'm not too worried! (Maybe I should publicize it elsewhere like on Peta's page since the team itself doesn't need tickets. If you have an idea of where I should publicize it, tell me ). I tried putting a form on the page so it could be automatically posted to, but that didn't work .

Okay, well I'll tell a few people about it, but Frinks Drinks itself doesn't seem to be doing that well recently - too much competition. But don't worry too much, it took about a fortnight before the Aroma Cafe was noticed, and a similar time before my beach did anything.

Well, I went ahead and publicized it on Peta's page. I have now sold five: Peta bought them for herself, Mark, Anna, Sam and Jim. As for it getting noticed, I'm not too worried (yet).

Me too - I hope you get that. It would be great to see us all as ACEs. If something happened to your ticket stall, I could write an article for the post about it - that should get some response.

Thanks! I'll let you know if anything happens!
Peta said the new ACEs and Sub-Eds are going to be appointed by the end of the month...
I applied for both ACE and SubEd, but I really want to be an ACE, because greeting new users is so much fun (I've started to greet them as practice)! I hope you become an ACE, too!

Well, I've said I want to be in practically every forum I could find that mentioned ACEs.

I have welcomed lots of people
I've given "good" ideas to Peta
So, you've:
Got a ticket office,
welcomed people,
reported for the post,
so I'd say you've got a good chance too.

So we both have a few good things going for us. I truly hope you get to be an ACE, you'd really make a great one!

Well, why not turn this into a conversation where we can learn more about each other?
Where abouts are you, what do you do, and what do you like, my friend?

Whereabouts: In the States
What I do: I surf the Internet (a lot), I procrastinate, and I sleep and eat. I also sit in a classroom all day "learning" things I already know so I can "tested" on it (in other words, I'm a student).
And you?

I'm in Southampton, UK, and from the Isle of Wight, UK.
I also use H2G2 (surprise) read books, mostly sci-fi, and I'm a Beatles & Wings fan - or whatever you call people who listen to music by them..
I am a Law student, but I don't really want to be a lawyer, and I'm 20, for what that's worth.

Well...I'm one of the younger h2g2 users (I'm still in that "wonderful" stage called teenage years).
As for reading, I'm into sci-fi and mystery.
And I spend way too much time on the computer (at least according to my mother).

I looked, and liked what I saw... I tried to send you an e-mail, but it's not working, saying you're not properly installed....
Thanks for the link!

Thanks. I'm going to work on more links for the right-hand sidebar, but I wanted to get the design tested and running. It's a LOT easier now (on the eyes and in the code).
