Thank you Beatrice, Wilma and Apprentice.... all your comments have been included.
I just can't resist shoe boxes ... I keep them in cupboards, under the bed and in the shed.

I always seem to find empty shoeboxes around the house that were kept in anticipation of future use. Usually the cats curl up in them until they fall apart and get pitched (the boxes, not the cats ) The schools usually manage to require at least one shoebox a year for some project or another, as well.
Nicely done
For whoever it was that asked earlier (can't remember now), fire safes come in all sizes and shapes, there are several models that would also fit under the bed or in the bottom of the closet. They lock with a key or combination and protect your documents from fire. I don't know if they're waterproof for flooding, but they're pretty difficult to break into as well, and somewhat heavy for a thief to cart off. Smallest I've seen is about the size of two shoeboxes sitting side by side.

I don't go so far as to put photos on the end, but I do have sticky labels with a description of the shoes so I can identify which ones I'm after. Not really worth it, since I don't have many shoes. (Awkward feet, you see.)
My school used to run a shoe box appeal. The teacher's often covered the boxes in Christmas wrapping paper and asked us all to bring one item.
Anyway, that's all by the by, great entry!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

That message from the machine up above says >>We hope this explains everything.<<
It doesn't explain where poor old DNA Messages went ......
I don't like my entry being picked by a machine - it wasn't written by a machine, and it wasn't scouted by a machine, so why did the big machine come Bel.
