So, why no space travel, well, funding is my opinion, and rather teh program doesn't get any. So mars probes have been going missing or wrong. This is for two reasons.
1. Corners have probably been cut
2. Projects have been ambitious, and so prone to faliure. Problem is, no funding is given for a second attempt.
So why no funding, well because space has no short term gain. If there was gold or diamonds on teh moon we'd have colonised taht puppy by now. So far, teh space programme has occasionally given some interantional credit and given us rock. The problem, my unwilling audience, is Short sightedness. Space hasn't given us anything and has killed (I think) about 10 people. Over just over 30 years. i call that a good score considering teh dangers. But no. No gold, no new metals so funding is reduced. Its just stupidity I know but there we are.
