WTF does this mean, and why is it replacing all the articles??

I think we managed it on the dot... and the answer threads went up at the same time.

Apologies to all our overseas friends but as h2g2 is based in the UK we had to use their time scale... even we couldn't work out how to stagger the joke across timezones.

I didn't see it before 12.00 but I still appreciate the humour of it! Well done! Just one thing though - does this mean that despite what we all think - that you are busy, busy all day, that you have time on your hands to think up ways to worry and exasperate us poor contributors???? Only asking!

Nope - it just meant that we were working flat out for 3 days solid *and* had to do a lot from about 11am onwards today too.
