Mmmh... My mum won't actually make a fuss if we don't get her a card for mother's day. An old habit she got from her childhood, having to do with the fact that day was used as political propaganda or something back then in the 1930s Germany 
Of course it doesn't prevent me from getting her 
s anyway (or cooking a nice meal). You know how annoying kids can be
