I think that this is something that is quite important for people to know, i dont know if this is breaking any writing guidlines, and if it is please point me in a better direction

Well, there's a few personal pronouns in there, which would break the Writing-Guidelines....

But on a more general point, I would have thought a virus warning (such as this) has a fairly limited shelf-life, as most anti-virus programs will quickly catch up with an developing viruses. So I'm not sure that it is a fit subject for an Edited entry, to be honest.

Any other opinions out there?

Wavering the usual grumbles that this is the wrong place - because the intention is obviously benevolent - it would be best to post a message to Ask h2g2, along the lines lines:-

Have you heard about the new virus, described in A2272493.

with a title like:-

New Virus: Are you protected?

The question of removing this from peer review can be postponed in this case, I am reasonably sure.

But now the time has definatley passed, by any reckoning.

I propose moving this back to entry.
