I realize that some of the links are to unedited entries. Those entries are related and are going into PR at virtually the same time.

Yet another interesting entry, and a good read. Well done.
At a quick read, I found one minor problem. In the phrase 'Detroit which was now American', do you mean is now American, or was American at that time. It struck me first as not quite reading properly.
Other than that, a good entry.

Detroit has been transferred from country to country a great many times. It was originally French. At the time of the Pontiac Rebellion it was British. By the time the war of 1812 started it was American. hmm. Sounds like a footnote.

There has been the expression of a certain demand for more Canadiana in the guide. I'm merely trying to supply a little of that demand (since none of my compatriots around here seem to have time to write entries[as if I do]).
As for our martial past: We have always and continue to have a strong martial aspect to our national character. We also, however, have a strong desire for both peace and discipline within a happy collectivity(the very social "peace, order and good government" rather than the more individualistic "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.")
blah blah blah

Where has this demand arisen ?
Not that I'm being funny you understand, the two countries in the world that I would willingly emigrate to are Canada and New Zealand - which I am told come 1 and 2 in the World's most boring country poll.

We teach our school children that our history is boring so that they don't grow up to have imperialistic big heads. By the time they learn the truth about our illustrious past, they have developed the wisdom necessary to build upon that past rather than the arrogance which seeks to impose a founding myth upon the world.

This one is good to go, I suspect.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
