The Da Vinci Code

Hypatia,
We have the painter and decorators in at the moment painting the outside of the house and the main bedromm so we are in for a period of chaos.
When they come to do the bedromm we have to move into this room where my computer is so we loose my access after A has gone to bed.
Bear with me - I'll be back with you - I will have some time on Thursday.

Hi. I see you have eyeballs this morning.
I'm in the middle of making pickles, freezing blackberries, eggplant slices and stewed tomatoes, and taking care of F. Will e-mail you about the latter. Don't want everyone in the world to have access to his personal information.
Redecorating is a major pain in the patootie. You have my deepest sympathy.

External painting should be finished tomorrow and he's giving us the week-end off before starting to turn our bedroom into a battle zone.
I'm almost finished reading 'Cracking the Davinci code' and looking forward to lots of interesting comments.
It's got lots of masonic square and compasses drawings between the items (set as opened during the second degree)- reminders of the building of the temple at Jerusalem which the Knights Templar allegedly plundered.

Are you a Mason? My grandfather and father were. And I was in a Masonic group for girls called Rainbows when I was a lass. Masons aren't really evil, despite the conspiracy theorists contentions.
You're farther along in the book than I am. I'll try to read some more of it tonight.

There are 33 degrees in Freemasonry (corresponding to the 33 years of Christ's life).
I made 30th degree before I finally dropped out.
There is nothing evil in masonry - like all institutions there are good and bad persons in the craft, but it's aim is quasi-religious and to improve the morals of it's members.
Non-masons get bogged down in questions about the secrets of the society, which are really unimportant, and obtainable in many published books. Keep some people guessing and you create a conspiracy theory !!!
