Zarquon's Singing Fish!

Hi Jodan!

Thanks for the prayers Kat. My friend was left standing in a sequinned skirt (she was on her way to a 'do') calling out 'Please don't steal my car!'.

That's dreadful. Very scary. Things like that can certainly leave emotional scars. Prayers and good wishes, even from strangers, can make a wonderful difference. I know they helped when my husband nearly died last winter. I hope lots of people find this thread and join in.

I offer my hopes that J. has recovered most of her equilibrium smiley - hug following the trauma of losing what most drivers imagine is a safe inviolate coccoon.

(I didn't say 'prayers' as I have a difficulty with what I see as implied religious beliefs, and doubts in the efficacy of prayer for any but those predisposed to believe. I *do* care about other people, but I have no Faith smiley - erm)

Thanks Pimms,

I spoke to J earlier today and told her about the prayers. She is very grateful - she does have faith (she's Catholic).

She's kicking herself for decisions made - ie not to go with her husband, who went on ahead. Unfortunately, regrets like this don't really serve any good purpose, except to make one feel worse.

She's convinced the car is in a carpark nearby. I believe that if she holds to that thought it is more likely to turn up. That happened when I lost my mobile - it dropped out of the car and was found on the pavement. I got it back by constantly ringing it until someone answered. I never lost faith that it would be found.
