Is it safe to allow writers to form groups? Should we keep them segregated or allow them to mingle freely with other people in darkened rooms?

Which is negative...they might enjoy darkened rooms...after all does one really want to encourage such activity?

If we writers mingle about in darkened rooms, isn't it altogether likely that it would only be with other writers? And with all this mingling and fumbling about in the dark, what about protection? I mean, someone's bound to bump a shin.

Not to mention the inevitable propogation of the species. The resulting generations would be all that more pendantic.
