Its even better spoken - the trick is not to try to memorise it, but to just remember who is in and who is out then you are ready for the longer version with in and out doing just that several times. GA

No, the long version is just prolonging the ending by having them miss each other more and going in and out with conversation with mother.

The gender is not important so ignore sibling rivalry, unhealthy envy and any complex you care to identify with, not to mention OCD and transactional analysis. That should cover it.
