The English are not that crappy at sports. I DON'T like to say this...But look at United. They are winning everything...unfortunatly!
And look at Formula one...
Anyway...There is plenty of good music around today as well. There are bands like Blur, The Bluetones, Manic Street Preachers, Supergrass, The Verve (although they are no more..)and you've got guys like Ian Brown, Paul McCartney, David Bowie. There is a lot of good stuff out there.
