Io, the strongest of Jupiter's moons in industry and military, it is also the place where armed resistance against Earth was first realized. Their clever use of mass drivers allowed them to disable and capture an entire fleet of Earth War ships. This also has allowed them to become a major scientific research area, as they constantly come up with improvements to the Earth weapons they captured.
