boots, you're a hoot! I needed cheering up. smiley - smooch

I'm told that hand-made wrapping paper is making a comeback. Brown paper or butcher paper with stencils or ink stamps being the norm. The chances of me doing that this year are slim and none. smiley - laugh

I'm heavily into the wrap it in tissue paper and stuff it into a gift bag era of life.

I blame Martha Stewart. smiley - smiley

Actually, the stenciled paper isn't such a bad idea if you have little kids to keep busy (and you don't mind cleaning up after them).

Gift bags are a wonderful invention and reusable to boot (no pun intended). I also buy up cheap baskets whenever they're on sale during the year and fill 'em with small gifts and baked goods. Add some seasonal greenery, tie on a ribbon or two, and they look as good as anything you'll find in the shops. Or buy brown paper lunch bags and give the kids some crayons, glue, glitter, ribbons and whatnot, and let them create gift bags for you. Give them last year's Christmas cards to remmake into gift tags.

Yes, I actually enjoy all this wrapping stuff.

Boots

Bit of a cheat I'm afraid gang. An oldie slightly altered but Shazz let it pass. Poleaxed with annual bout of pleurasy at the mo. Antibiotics have just kicked in but no energy for creativity outside flowers this week. Off to read the rest of the post now.
