The h2g2 Poem

The First Few Yards Are The Easiest
The first few yards lap coldly
And gurgle around your feet
Blueing your toes and making the goosebumps
Climb up your thigh to safety.
The next few yards wash up
To your crotch making you
Catch your breath
With the suddeness of it all
The last few yards are by far
The most exacting. Up to your neck
The current taking you over
Seabed tumbles, salt water blinds.
