When I was at primary school, we had this ritual of 'putting your foot in' for the selection rhyme.
When the game (usually tikky it) was about to be started, all the people who wanted to play had to put their feet together, coming to a point, while the person saying the rhyme would count off people's shoes.
My preferred rhymes were (variations of some on your page...):
1.
Ip dip dip
My blue ship
Sailing on the water
like a cup and saucer
My mum says count up to ten.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

Eenie meenie macaraca
Rare raa dominaca
Knikerbocka Lollypoppa
Om pom push.

The rhythm seems weird to me otherwise.

I'd completely forgotten about using feet for selection - it gave you 2 'lives'. I think we used feet for 'Ip dip dip', but not for any other rhymes. We didn't have the last bit, though - ours would end:

...
Like a cup and saucer
O.U.T spells OUT.

We also had a variation, which went:

Sailing on the gravy
Like the Royal Navy
