Bought one in my youth, it was rusted through in places but the rust was painted over. The interior was big enough to throw a party in, but the motor.....ahhhh. Imagine the look of surprise when this beat up old thing passed almost everything on the road (at a price, of course, it ate oil and gasoline at an alarming rate).
The connection? Remember all those old US cop shows from the 50s? Car 54, Dragnet, all those? *This* is what they drove!

Oooops....I just realised it was a '57 Ford *Interceptor*.
...what time, a dimming memory and a couple of glasses of wine with lunch will do.....
