A Conversation for Volunteer to be an Ace

Hello there ,
I had to retire a couple of years ago because of ill-health. Since then I joined h2g2 and absolutely love it, writing for 'The Post' and working on guide entry's is brilliant. It has helped me to carry on with life and gives me something to do.
However, I have a lot of time on my hands and would love to volunteer to become an Ace. I have read all about each volunteer role and would like to get more involved with h2g2.
So, please could I apply to become an Ace.
Thank you very much.

The other thing you could do is to check out some of the other ACEs welcomes and start working on your own.
Post your "Test Welcome" on the ACEs home page for feedback and see how you go - that way, you'll be ready when it happens
Emmily has made a great “Hints and How To” page for ACEs at <./> A3022390</.>
When I started I found <./>A573833</.> So you Want to be a good Ace - to be a really good place to start as it sets out the "conventions" that we use.
I have made a "Hints and Links for New Researchers" page at <./>A719840</.> you are more than welcome to use it at any time if you find that it’s useful.

Hi Feisor ,
Thank you so much for that information . I will give that a go.
I am sorting my office and having a change round, as soon as it has been finished I will start work on my "Test Welcome" page .
Thanks again.

No, not a page. I started mine as a Word doc - offsite - then, when it's right it's easier to cut and paste into Welcomes.
- that's between you, me and the other ACEs
