He's written two poems like that (Oh and sorry i haven't answered sooner, its a bit of a bugger when you have to check your own entry to Answer people!)
Those Are
After the Funeral, In memory of Ann Jones his aunt, and Refusal to Mourn the Death by Fire of a Child in London. That contains the great line "After the first death, there are no others", something to think about anyway! I'll probably write much more when I am home at Christmas, and have my reference books, I would like this to be a useful article for anyone who was studying ol' DT for Their Literature exam, like i did! I'll put in a bit on Dt and death, seeing as you asked for it, and thank you for reading!! (It'll give me something to do this weekend, when I don't have access, look for it Tuesday maybe!) Please, keep in touch,
Big Hug
Hxx

Irving Washington - Gone Writing

I'm not sure what "chuffed" means, but I am looking forward to a bit more on Dylan, and for once I mean the poet, not the folk rock hero who stole his name. He was the one who said something like "I will not go softly into that good night," isn't he?

Chuffed means happy in a kinda shy, oohh I can't believe somebody actually read and liked something i wrote kinda way.. well thats what I meant!!
I've not got around to writing more because with only 11 days left here, life has suddenly become a bit hectic, and all my notes on Dylan are at home in Scotland, so I should be able to write something really good then, and help people to cheat on their english essays!!
The poen you mean was written for his father when he was dying, and is a call to him to fight it...
"Do Not Go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day
Rage Rage against the dying of the light."
And so on... I'm very upset with my memory that I now no longer remember it all! We weren't alowed books into the exam, the point was to get us to memorise the relevant quotes that we might need. One girl who was doing Robert Burns, memorised the whole of Tam O shanter, a long poem and all in Scots, or the Ayrshire dialect thereof that Burns used. I wouldn't have liked to attempt that. It was however 1995, so I might have some excuse...

Yes, 1995 was a while ago... back when I'd just started highschool! Anyway, it's a good article, and we're all looking forward to more (no pressure!)

PS-- hope your last eleven days go smoothly!

It was when I'd just finnished High School, but you lot are at high school a bit longer, I was 17. When my friend Chris moved to California, he'd finnished high school in Scotland, spent nearly a year with me at college, and they made him go back to high school again. I want to make this a really good article though, so it may take some time.

Hello Helena, just checking in, seeing what's up with you this well celebrated new year. See you've been busy moving back, paying bills, giving and getting a little grief, just for a change. Anyway, all the best, take care, have fun, see ya.

And Luna, happy new year, good luck, go get 'em, cheers.
