Nini Posted Jan 21, 2004
Heh, you speak of furry things like they exist!! Oh no, such things only come up sometimes and a suprisng amount is very ye olde furry thing yknow but thats websites.. Paper or pulp products? Hah, only Furrore and Yojimbo I know of, unless you count weird fetish porn rags.

Hmmm, I've got this question going on both forum convosations, haven't I? Very sorry for wasting your time, Been a bit confused latley.
There is a lot of furry publictions out there, if you look on the net, but virtuly all of it is yiffy. What the heck is wrong with these people!? Yiff is wierd.
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
Nini Posted Jan 22, 2004
Ah there you go ysee, I don't count yiff-related online pubs as existing. Yiff is highly weird but as far as I see it, it's like porn in the human world but with fur, tails and scales, sure I'm not deeply interested in it but it exists and it's there within the fur community like an itch you just can't scratch, you can't remove it so you may as well co-exist. Yiff can be ok, like I said, most of my art falls there but that becuase I can't draw clothes all that well, some yiff can be downright weird but remember, it's just porn for furs, no biggie.

Yeah, Yiff can be downright weird (mind you I think the same about porn) but I suppose that's OK if furs keep it to themselves. I don't think your work, at least what I've seen, could really be called yiff, it just has the slightly adult distinction from furrys and funny animals.
Just saw the Big Day Out (music festival)in Auckland on the teev. Wanted to go but was on holiday, anyway Metallica headlined (scary). Saw The Flaming Lips on tv (Do you like the lips? Same sort of sound appeal as the SFA) and they had about 25 furries dancing on the stage! Always wanted to do that, dress up in a fursuit and dance with the flaming lips.

Oh, by the way, what's this Yojimbo comic of which you speak? I love Manga-style drawing!
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
Nini Posted Jan 23, 2004
Furries and funny animals? What does that mean? Ah yeah, dancing on stage in a fursuit with the Lips, good fun I'd imagine... How much to rent a fursuit I wonder... Usagi Yojimbo, go look about for it, it's not too hard to find as it's fairly big within the manga world.

A funny animal; the outsider's idea of a furry. Looks similar, but not as serious as a furry, a joke really. What I ment was your art is distingished from non-furry cartoons, but would still probably get into yerf.

The Lips invite people to dress up and dance. It's some sort of gig trademark, like the Red Hot Chili Peppers putting socks on their cocks or the SFA driving around in a purple tank.

Had a look for Yojimbo. I'm more in the silly side of comics, so not really my thing. I'm learning to draw manga, not actually as tricky as I thought. But still hard. Worthwhile thogh because manga is cool, and gives me a chance to draw Humans for a change.

Nini Posted Jan 24, 2004
A toon right? Normal term, well known. It's supposed to be distinguishable but getting into Yerf? Doubt it, can't get into VCL even. That's it, why didn't you get your ass moving to get up there?? Two dreams fufilled I'd say. Manga can be done, I can do it, got several books but even with the books it's hard for me, it's improved my furry art though.

Why didn't I get my ass (tail?) Moving to get up where? To the Big Day Out? I was on holiday in a different part of the country at the time, and my oldies won't let me go alone untill next year. (I don't have many friends). But anyway, The Lips invite like, famous people, musos and stuff, not insignifigant little ferrets.

I ment what I've seen of your work is clean enough to get into yerf. Artistic skill, not for me to say but I think it's very good.
*Obsession for all things underweary*?
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
Nini Posted Jan 25, 2004
Well, be a famous type or muso then you won't be such an insignifigant ferret no more. It might be clean enough but my art of recent isn't, artistic skill is for you to say as all criticism is good critcism. Yes, obsessive with all things underwear, it's a stupid thing from childhood and no, I'm not letting go!
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
The Pink Ferret (slightly fruity) Posted Jan 26, 2004
Well as you know I think your art is really good.
I *like* being an insignifigant little ferret. Then you can do your own thing without being noticed.

Nini Posted Jan 26, 2004
Ah well.... *blush* I'm sure you like insignfigance, still.... hm.. I haven't recieved your illustation yet yknow.

Oh, yeah, sorry about that pic, but I've just started my final year of college so I'm a wee bit buisy at the moment. But I'll get it done soon. I have some friends at school who think my fuury art is cool. D'you share your art with your nonfurry friends?
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
Nini Posted Jan 26, 2004
Nah, no way, last time I showed anyone my art they thought it was crap so now it's hidden for all eyes not to see.
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
The Pink Ferret (slightly fruity) Posted Jan 27, 2004
Oh, that's a shame. I'm careful who I show my art to and I don't tell them it's furry, just anthromorphic.
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
Nini Posted Jan 27, 2004
Ah, trying to sound smart again I see.. it didn't work did it?
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
The Pink Ferret (slightly fruity) Posted Jan 28, 2004
No, I just wanted to share my art with people.
Well, Me and my nonfurry friend are going to produce a furry comic book. It's about Spoonhenge, the source of all the world's boredom, the gay husky and part time inept, self-glorifying superhero Steve Stardust and his straight friend/sidekick (Who actually does everything) who's a fox, and Evil Warlord Captain Chicken, A really, really big Cock.
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
Nini Posted Jan 28, 2004
Ah, the comedy, if you were pitching to me I'd take it under consideration. It'll be a good strip. (I'm almost sure I read 'Spoogehenge' yknow first time.)
The Comic Book Gal Descend-eth.....
The Pink Ferret (slightly fruity) Posted Jan 29, 2004
Um, It's called SPOONhenge, not SPOOGEhenge. The Gay husky joke is just sillyness, there's no SPOOGE involved, I hope...
