The teams have been updated, and almost everyone now has a full side.

Gaps in teams are as follows:

Alfredo - One all-rounder or bowler.

Bubba-fretts - One batsman.

JulesK - One all-rounder or bowler.

AndyG - One batsman.

Please note that the 'open' bidding rounds have now ended, so make sure your bids are reasonable, otherwise the Board will reject them. I'd appreciate getting your bids from you as soon as possible, so I can do the final tinkerings to my spreadsheet.

Everyone else, nice job, and if you haven't already, please don't forget to nominate your captains.

I submit that Bubba-fretts actually requires two batsmen, as he appears to have two Worcestershire bats...

That was another rule I'd planned to drop, but I didn't get round to deleting the reference on the main page. So again, I've been taking bids on a different basis to the rules you're bidding on. And again, B is correct

Actually, it was the same rule I forgot about last time, wasn't it? Oh well - at least I've only forgotten one... so far.

My admittedly rather lame excuse is that I'm at work with a load of Brummies on a pound-a-pint offer who keep disturbing me with requests for drinks. Anyone would think I was paid to do work instead of fiddling around with spreadsheets.

Speaking of drinks, are you selecting a day next week for the Beerfest?

Back to the Krikkit, and an update:

Usman Afzaal has expressed his relief at being able to play in this year's competition, after agreeing to join the Over and Outs for a fee of £1m.

Two more teams have completed their sides now, as JulesK takes a chance on Warwickshire's veteran all-rounder Ant Botha and Alfredo Marquez snaps up Fat bobby Croft.

Jut waiting for the AndyG and the ever-tardy bubba-fretts now. And anyone who hasn't named their skippers, of course.

Stephen Moore has been released by the Batty Boys under the Beta ruling, and has been replaced by Michael Brown. bubba-fretts has also revealed that Richard Pyrah will be joining up with squad in the next couple of days, and named Matt Prior as his skipper for the season.

This leaves only AndyG to complete his squad with a player and a captain, and Montague Trout (or vice versa) and Demon Drawer to name their skippers for the season.

What's the Beta ruling? Is that where we're allowed to get rid of duff players for free before the start of the season?

The Beta ruling is as follows:

No team may field any more than three players from any one County, and no more than one in any discipline, even if the Board doesn't notice.

Oh...that's a shame.

I'd better go and scour the team page for any more, then.

Choosing to keep Ben Smith over Stephen Moore certainly seems to suggest Bubba has more faith in Smith's ability than I do.

Egon you seem to be under the illusion that I have a clue about what I'm doing. Please check the rest of my team sheet to dispel this notion.

Um... I refer the honourable gentleman to post 9, which clearly states that Usman Afzaal signed for the Over and Outs some time over the weekend. I'm sure I chose a captain then too?
