Has anyone seen the clubbing that Gloucestershire are receiving from Surrey? They're on course for 400.

I reckon they're after reclaiming their record back - they did hold the highest 50-over score until recently. This is what happened last time:

http://uk.cricinfo.com/link_to_database/ARCHIVE/2002/ENG_LOCAL/C+G/SCORECARDS/R04/SURREY_GLAM_C+G_19JUN2002.html

They only won that match by 9 runs!

Sri Lanka recently scored 443-9 in a 50-over match against the Netherlands, so they might be after beating that. And of course their 438 was matched by South Africa's run chase against Australia in Johannesburg last year!

Maybe Ali Brown is after his own record from that match? smiley - winkeye

Somerset's new bowler-friendly pitch is working a treat as well. That looks like 20 grand well-spent.

Absolutely incredible. That's a whisker short of ten runs an over. Even 20-20 matches don't score that quickly.
