Is there a time warp going on in Troutland? That 4-dayer took less than an hour in Frenchbean time
Can we have some 20-20s? They'd be over in a nanosecond

I've got plans for a Twenty20 knockout cup, Frenchbean, but as it's based on the Duckworth-Lewis method it's taking some working out

Skanks.... please get this comp organised before you launch into a new one
How can you run a complete knockout on D-L? Surely you need some form on which to base it? NOOOOOOO, don't answer that... You just concentrate on the Phantasy Krikkit for now, dear

Duckworth-Lewis, you say?

Yeah, that's what I thought. D-L operates on interrupted matches... not on entire ones doesn't it?
Skanks - don't answer.. I'm asking Egon

Yes, but it's all about resources remaining and a total projected as a result of wickets lost and overs left. So if your team scores, say 130 runs, and loses five wickets in the process, taking 90 balls to do it, it's possible to work out a projected score based on a full 20 overs. If you do this for both sides, you have a winner.
I'm still working on a theory based on real matches, so it may not happen if it doesn't work in the modelling. Like most cricket fans, I just love stats

We might find out tonight.
Two of my squad are already injured. Will Jefferson is hamstrung and Robin Martin-Jenkins has a hand injury.
