Traveller in Time rereading
"There is still the notion about differences without enywhere a hint of what and how.
For what I understand of the dreamtime and the dreaming:
The ancestral beings travelled throughout Australia, leaving signs and trails behind them and performing magic to shape the featureless landscape into what it is today.
The dreaming as the aboriginals do is dreaming the dreams of the ancients again. Travelling through the land they encounter the places where the ancients performed the dreams. These places are the sacred places to dance the dance of the corresponding dream. That is where they perform the singing and dancing telling the stories and displaying the makings. This can be a special curve in a river or a special place for an animal.
As not all tribes come everywhere local sacret places will have slight differences. There is no common river, there is no common rock, they are shaped by different ancesters and tell a different story.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There must be a relation with the dreamtime and the way the aboriginals cared for nature. Only taking from nature what you need now and repaying for the gifts of nature does not explain why they stayed a stable population in balance with nature for milennea.
No posessions ? Always nomadic ? Any hierarchical structure ? Story tellers. What happens if tribes meet ? "

Another good Entry
"while others travelled along the coasts south."
-->
"while others travelled along the coasts to the south."
- that's the only nitpick

Actually, 'travelled southwards along the coasts' would make more sense, geographically.
[Great. Now I'm nitpicking a nitpick. I need to get out more.]

I don't have much geographical knowledge of the area concerned, so I was just prompting some kind of clarification...
