Ghehehehe... You're *NEVER* going to be a member of the Jazz Police, man! No way!
You can settle for becoming a "Towel Bearer" or a "Prefect", whichever comes up on top.

I don't care what the name is... I cast my vote, but that doesn't mean my heart's set on it. I just want to be say "Hi" to new people!

Well, I understand completely...
Anyway, sure you can say Hi to any new people. And if you're doing a good job at it (who am *I* to decide on that one?), then well, I guess you'll get that badge as well as any other

G'Day People!
This seem like a good place to be, nice people, laughter and the possibility of helping Peta and the rest of the gang from H2G2 take over the world and make it a much better and interesting place.....
Sure you can!
The Mummy, administrator of the SETI@home Project (A193231) and The Reluctant Dead on the FFFF (A254314) Posted Nov 13, 1999
Well, let's start by just setting a name for whatever-it-is who's going to help Peta manage with all the newbies entering this site, right?
Did you check out http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=25486&thread=26970 , and cast your vote in http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=25486&thread=27541 yet?
I guess not, huh? So, go do that now, ok? Just be a good boy and vote for "Towel Bearer"
Sure you can!
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Nov 13, 1999
Out of curiosity, Festival, was "Towel Bearer" your suggestion? It IS one of the better choices, I was just wondering, since you're soooooo adamant about it...
Sure you can!

Hehehe, you didn't read the whole thread, I guess... too busy somewhere else, I suppose...
I wouldn't dare say it's *my* suggestion, however, I *can* say that to my own knowledge I was the first to mention "Towel Bearer" in any thread of *this* Forum.
I would be sooooo utterly flattered if it worked out to be *the* choice in the end
Sure you can!
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Nov 13, 1999
I may not have read that thread @ all...
Sure you can!

Hello. You seem to be having a merry time.
Has anyone settled on a name for the Blanks yet?
I still believe 'Blank' is good. WTA sounds classy; it would need explaining, which is what being a HGTTG researcher is all about, which doesn't mean you'll get the point being explained.
See?

Merry time? Yes ofcourse... that's what we're here for
Settled? Yes & No...
Yes, everyone seems to have settled on some name, but...
No, we didn't reach an agreement yet!
Please go to http://www.h2g2.com/A207488 to cast *your* vote, if you haven't already done so.
Counting done!
