I'm not prepared to share the salary... I'm underpaid as it is!

No, I can't buy marmite from the title... small green pieces of paper are required to be moved around
Looking Good!
Danisbackfromlunch Posted Oct 27, 1999
I hear those green pieces of paper are not terribly unhappy!

Yeah, we're very big in business, aren't we?
I noticed how your last result improved, from the group's statistics-page. Your average dropped from well over 68 hours to just over 66, so I could calculate the difference in speed. Very well!!!
Looking Good!

I just joined!

I just wanted to let you all know who I am. I changed my name in the SETI personal info, but for some reason it didn't show up in the group statistics. So when you see Turil Cronburg, you'll know that the friendly computer geek is just little old turtle.
Oh, and I also just got a spiffy new powerbook which brings my average of a whopping 119 hours per unit down to about 18 hours! Wheee! Funny how my home computer is something like 6 times faster than the one I have at work (where I'd previously been running the program). Scary isn't it?

Hi Turtle!
The changes will soon show up in the Group statistics, don't worry about it.
However, by giving me a message, you make it a lot easier for me. Thnx a million in a mile And also thnx for joining us. The more the merrier, huh?
I've had the same experience... I started out with an old XT, while at work I was using something a little more modern. Within a few months I've upgraded my system so massively, that the model at work was a turtle-like slomo My boss wouldn't even DREAM of what I'm using now

BTW: I forgot to ask...
When looking you up on the SETI group-stats (I check up before adding anyway), I noticed that you're not using the URL option with your SETI@home account. Maybe you could enter "www.h2g2.com/U12553" at that location. That's the EASIEST way for me to locate anyone, because these numbers are unique
Oh, and maybe you're also willing to make a link to "The SETI@home project" (A193231) to help draw more people's attention to this project?
Thanx in advance and welcome to the club
I'll see what I can do.

But you have to promise to spell my name right! Heh. (I have no letter E's in my name. Anywhere. Nope. Actually, I'm allergic to them. And you wouldn't want me sneezing all over this nice place would you?

aka Turil CronbUrg
(Ok, I'm lying about their being no E's in my name. But they happen to be in my middle name. And that name will remain a secret, lest someone find out how utterly silly my parents were back in the sixties.)
I'll see what I can do.

Ok, I saw it all worked out very well, and I've corrected the error with your name. Sorry 'bout that slip-up.
