If you would all care to move into the middle of the room please. May I ask what time you wish to go to. Bear in mind you will need to give yourself time to get there from the Society building, we do not move outside this room.

*Time Traveller turns a series of valves and takes hold of two large leavers ither side of the chair. The valves allow steam to pass into an engine which drives static generators, and creat green lightning flashes between the copper orbs. Green smoke decends from these electrical sparks, and the hands on the large clock go haywire. Time Traveller concentrates as he attempts to compensate with the levers. One inch out in the controles could send us centuaries into the future or the past.*

Only about a week...

*the hands start to slow down, the centuary hand stops rocking...

the decade hand stops rocking...


the year hand stops rocking...

the month hand stops rocking...

the week hand stops rocking, moves back a notch and Time Traveller pushes on a foot peddle.*

*In the corners of the room there are peculiar shaddows of other times, other occupants of this room over the millenia. Time Traveller wraps his coat and scarf more snugly around him and pulls his hat brim down over his eyes as he tries to sleep and block out the ghosts in this froxen room. This is the point where the camera pans out on the cold grey marble, and away from a solitary steam-breathing figure in a throne too big for him...*
