not bad , just few comments:
First person is not too popular in edited guide, so you're better off if you change disclaimer little so it doesn't include I.
Personally I think that mounting without help or block should be included as one possibility, it is after all quite easy, if you're not short or horse very big.
Don't know about practise in US (I presume you're from there) but at least on this side of Atlantic I wouldn't say that "many people who ride English choose to never mount without the help of a bloc". Most people mount without help or block.
I would also include word or two about how to get horse moving .
But basically good small entry that delicers what header promises. I was quite suprised that there wasn't such entry allready.
