>>The players should sit in a circle around the box so that there is about a metre's clearance on all sides of the box. Each player then takes it in turn to pick up the box with their mouth without letting any part of them except for their feet touch the floor or any other object.<<
I'm confused. Are they sitting or standing? If they're sitting, then by default their backsides are on the floor too. If they're standing, then they shouldn't be sitting in a circle around hte box.
You might want to mention that the reason it's so hard (if they are indeed standing) is because our center of gravity is in our abdomen (usually) and bending over shifts it to weird places.

Sounds dangerous to me - never mind all those drunks over the box.
...still, may try it at the weekend.

I feel uncomfortable reviewing this, Alex, because it gives away my curmudgeonly, grumpy interior. I've been doing so well in keeping it hidden lately, too So I'll keep this brief, and I'm not going to get involved in any mass debate on the subject.
Do you think 'how to pick up a box with your teeth' is a suitable subject for an EG Entry? Will this really light up the Front Page? If you think so, that's fine by me, but you usually do so much better.

This is a REALLY EXCELLENT party game.
Some additional advice is needed, though, to make clear what this game is really about.
What this game is really about is
(a) getting a mixed group of drunk people to do something physical and communal and more importantly
(b) getting fit women to bend RIGHT over and stick their asses in the air.
Therefore additional advice is needed, specifically: if there is a particularly attractive girl involved, who is wearing particularly tight jeans/shorts/skirt, make sure before she starts that you're at the optimum angle to appreciate the view you're going to get.
It's possibly worth noting that keen martial artists are also good at this game as they can usually be relied upon to casually do an eye-watering splits.
I once played this game, and having been knocked out early, watched with interest as the box was torn down and down and down. The riff raff were quickly eliminated and eventually, when the "box" had been reduced to a single square inch of cardboard, both the remaining competitors were able to pick it up with the tip of a moistened tongue and the game was declared a draw.
Entertainingly the joint winners were a bloke with a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, whose technique involved the aforementioned splits, and a very pretty blue-eyed, blonde haired girl in tight jeans whose technique was to stand with her back to me and without apparent difficulty grab her ankles and stick her head between them, giving me a sly, upside down wink as she stuck out her tongue to pick the box up.
You can see why I remember the game...

Um... eh? You've taken this out of Peer Review... why?

I think it might be better as an addition to A640054 rather than as an Entry on its own.

It's completely up to you, Alex. You're an experienced Scout and writer, and if you think it's suitable, that's fine. Personally, I think it would be best added to another Entry, but the rest of the 25-odd Scouts might think this would be a great addition on its own. It's your Guide as much as it is mine

To be honest, I wasn't really sure if this merited its own Entry as opposed to being an addition to the main one - I don't want anyone to think I'm writing by numbers.

Not sure of the etiquette here, but since this entry inspired me to write about a different game altogether, and since this entry was taken out of PR, I've written from scratch my own rather different take on the same game and put it in PR. Hope you don't mind.

I respect you enough to let you make up your own mind, Alex - and to be honest, I've been the bad guy enough times

I can't see that you've been the bad guy here, Rich, you were friendly and did respect Alex, and you told him what you personally thought of this.
That's better than what I did, which was not to comment at all.

SoRB, there frankly isn't a solo Entry in either, which is why Alex pulled this from PR in the first place. At best, as Alex says, they should be updates/additions to A640054. You might find scouts that disagree with me, but I sincerely hope you don't

That's what I mean, Bel. It took two weeks for someone to hint rather strongly that they thought this mightn't be appropriate, and that person was still me! So it looks like 'oh, here comes Rich again, with his 'unsuitable Entry' lines... ' See what I mean?

Yes, I know, but I'm still fairly new to this - compared to you and Alex, and I'm never sure whether it's up to me to judge which subject is, or isn't appropriate for the EG. I mean, just becaue *I* think something doesn't need to be in the EG doesn't necessaarily mean all the others think so, too. I once suggested this for an entry - maybe even twice, and I was more or less 'shouted' down, so I am very, very careful now.

How you choose to review is up to you, Bel. You more or less asked me why I felt like the bad guy, and I explained. I'm not telling you, or Alex, or anyone else what's right and what's wrong. That's entirely up to you, and what you want the Guide to be.
