Ummm... hmmm...
Lib Dems had the greatest increase in votes in the Scottish constituency they announced earlier and they came in third so fingers crossed for something nearer 25%

Thanks Ormy! Good info., and a great pint. Back to politics ... over here, people are so p****d off with the politicians that voting is compulsory ... otherwise nobody would turn out!
c|_| 42
Ormondroyd Posted Jun 7, 2001
Yeah, I know! Personally, I always vote anyway, but the turnout's so bad in some places over here that compulsion could happen soon!

Kes Posted Jun 7, 2001
Yes ... rather sad ... but a measure of the respect which politicians have "earned" ... The standard dialogue here runs as follows:
Q: "Who are you going to vote for?"
A: "A politician".

Ormondroyd Posted Jun 8, 2001
Today, Kes, I had to go to my local red light area to vote. There was a young woman hanging around on the street corner right opposite the polling station. Some would say that it's appropriate for politics and prostitution to be together. Others might say that's unfair to the honest trade of prostitution.
Key: Complain about this post
