Not really. The pitch has been under 3ft of water, and I think the grounds staff woud kill us if the tried to play.

Aaaw but underwater football is so much fun...like water polo but better

But it will wreck my football boots.

Go bare foot, I paddled in Skegness water so I reckon football pitch flood will be fine...

Its more like swimming at the moment.

Our village has today achieved island status as the rivers have all just about to burst their banks or already have done and it's effectively not stopped raining since last Sunday...and we've been reduced to discussing the weather!

This isn't weather. its a natural disaster.

Oh in that case it's all right then...so I can happily mention that we had 74mm of rain today and all four major rivers have now burst their banks, still the cows have had to be evacuated from their fields as they're under 2 foot of water so at least they can't be plotting whilst they're not here
