What is the most evil thing in the world?

Ummm...I don't have wellies which fit me, I probably still have some of those frog wellies in the garage but sadly I don't have a webcam and even if I did I would have no idea how to use it so you can't verify my trainers but they're definitely full of water...

I'm not wearing the wellies...
Umm...well I guess if I hung them outside then they might get dried by the gales, but then I guess they'd also be blown away and the torrential rain might slow the whole not being full of water process a bit...

You cheered the wellies...I was pointing out that no matter how much you encouraged them I wasn't going to wear them
I have a radiator which a has similar effect...but now I'm going to have to wash them as they'll be all icky and I've only just washed them from the last time I really did go rowing and they took ages to dry then.

*Feels sorry for the poor wellies *
You mean person.....
I have a cooker... with a washing line near it

*is amazed at now feeling guilty about not wearing the wellies*
Would they not then cook rather than dry?

*squealches in*
Floods are getting worse...74mm of rain today and whilst it's stopped for the last half hour I suspect it'll be back...I really ought to find those wellies, I'll run out of Um Ognob soon
Hmm my trainers are covered in mud so I suspect food would probably be a vast improvement

The water was getting deeper at work today too.

*grins*
It's still getting deeper here, I just went to buy emergency supplies of Um Ognob (has anyone seen that? It really amuses me) and the road which was only previously slightly flooding now has a current in it and is about a foot under water...still it made pretty splooshes...

Cool!
Lets us know if you get stranded.....
The cinema down the road (which was built on a flood plain ) Now looks like an island.... literally, with the front doors being only 4 yards away from water
I was considering getting a kyack and going for a paddle

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Nov 7, 2000
Yeah I'll send a message on my mobile to someone and get them to type it up saying "Help, traped in flood, shoddy car has collapsed and my feet are cold"...
*thinks*
Nope did that today but I was on a bus instead...1 and a half hours it took for a 20 minute journey, every single river in Sheffield and Derbyshire chose today to overflow and all of them chose my bus route

The Fish Posted Nov 8, 2000
Couldn't you just phone someone or use your computer *grins*
Same round here.... most of the busses gave up aand kicked everyone off... cos it was quicker to walk

*grins*
And when I was trapped in my car at the bottom of a hill in the flood, how precisely would I use my computer? Although I suppose I could ring someone and get them to type you a message but it'd be just the same as messaging them
*grins at Fish*
What is the most evil thing in the world?
The Fish Posted Nov 8, 2000
Well.... the main idea, is that you DON'T get trapped in your car, because your presumably to clever for that
*grin at Tink'*
Alternatively.... you could just dial 999

*laughs*
I'm glad you added the grin or else I might have thought you were serious...besides you said to tell you if I got trapped in a flood
