Maybe the queue was shorter.
No forget that was even a possibility. Though it was the case once at a London Monarchs end of season party.

Hey I was just talking to a 290 lb linebacker and he siad come on there's no queue to the ladies, so we went there rather than wait 10 minutes for the gents.

I did however spend a good deal of my holiday in the kitchen...
*puts plates of triple chocolate cake, lemon and lime cake, maria cake, victoria cake, spiced buns, peach meringues and ginger cake on the bar*
