*stickes head timidly back in*
er sorry about that....I'm a bit nervous about some of my enginering courses later in the ciruclum...any chance of that drink now?
don't worry about the bill, I am sure the uni would be more than happy to cover it and drinks for the entire night for everyone (you know there are some people wh just shouldnot be entrusted with a company credit card, I think I might be one of them.)

I'm so tired, I haven't slept a wink,
I'm so tired, my mind is on the blink.
I wonder should I get up, and fix myself a drink?

Hey! s all round! I've just bumped into a long-lost friend and former regular at this establishment! The Grim Squeaker is back in town! I'm so glad - I really missed his cute little scythe and his spectral squeak!

I'm sure Flmaing Pie won't mind - he's gone anyway...
So, what have you been up to my old friend?
Still up in Leeds?

No, I'm back in London now. I'm doing a bit of research IRL for, of all things, the "Guinness Book Of Hit Singles!" I'm writing a piece for them about the UK live music scene. It's rather difficult, actually, because it's such a huge subject.

I can imagine - how much is being included? Modern stuff, or all the way back? I'd dread to tackle that task!
So, what did you think of Leeds? I was there a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't find it that hospitable a city.. But then, I am a Caulkhead.

Innkeeper! Drinks all round. If my ISP holds up and there's no thunder storms tonight, I might get to enjoy a drink with you all tonight. Anyway I'm writing an arcticle on building/upgrading your own PC thats why I had to drop in for a quick drinky.Anyone got any stories?

Actually, it's just about last year's live events, but even so the task is rather large.
As for Leeds, I'd have to agree. My folks actually live nearer Bradford, so I regard that as my home city. Bradford is definitely friendlier and has MUCH better pubs! I just went to Leeds for one day over Christmas to do a bit of shopping and to go to the only Internet cafe for miles around. Thankfully, I then found out that the public library just down the road from my parents' place had free Internet access for anyone who wanted to use it, so I didn't have to go back to Leeds again.

I never really liked Leeds. It had a good idea to have all the shops in a square at the centre, but I thought it was too big, and didbn't have enough variety, and definately wasn't a friendly place. Besides, being a Caulkhead, I have EXTREME trouble with the Yorkshire accent especially on bus drivers.
I hate bus drivers.

Er, pardon my ignorance, but what's a Caulkhead?

Bluebottle Posted Jan 25, 2000
Caulkhead = someone who was born on, and whose parents both were born on, and whose Grandparents were all born on the Isle of Wight.

I see. Rather strict entry requirements, then!
And now I really need a of something strong. Drumroll, at least, if not Fuel. You know that live music article I was mentioning earlier? Well, as part of the research I have just had to look through Steps' official website! It was horrible - their insanely beaming faces everywhere, a trail of little blue stars following your cursor, twee little "thank you" messages every other paragraph about how much they lurve their fans and how great everything is... (shudders)
And I've got to look at Boyzone's site next! (Breaks down sobbing)
