True enough... So, while we're here, why did you change your name?
Any particular reason? Or did you just decide to do it.
At least you aren't a Venus in Skeleton

A Venus in Bones would then have been more likely, except for the fact that I believe Venus is a feminine name, and I'm masculine
Hmmm, well I did the change for several reasons:
1. I was discussing dead cats with Lupa Mirabilis (strange she-wolf, reminds me of were-creatures ), which was an inspiration.
2. I was getting tired of the old Festival-thing, which always caused stupid questions like "which festival is this about?" to rise.
3. I've always been fascinated by fantasy and D&D style games: wizards, dragons, undead creatures etc.
4. Now I finally got to do the TAFKAF thing, which is utterly un-cool ofcourse, but I like to mock things. "The Ace Formerly Known As Festival" is such a mockery, but it wouldn't have worked if I kept using Festival, now would it?

want some to lubricate the throat?

Sure, we'll have two |_| of coke...
I'd considered changing my name, I admit, but I doubt that I'd do it - Bluebottle works too well. That's what everyone knows me as, I think.
I must admit I had no idea who you were when you changed your name, sorry - it took me a while to catch on. I guess I don't check your page as often as I should Sorry.

Well, to be honest with you. I've seen your name many times, but I don't remember ever having 'talked' with you, so don't be too hard on yourself
About changing your name: everything you've done so far would automagically change too (such as your name in the headers of old forum-messages), so people would recognize you soon enough. no probs
Just try finding any messages anywhere with 'Festival' in the header... you won't

Unless there's someone else out there with your name!
But what I meant was people associate me as "Bluebottle", I think...
Hmm - do people actually notice me, I wonder....

Peregrin Posted Nov 24, 1999
I went through a period of calling myself Peregrin the [verb] [animal] - like 'Peregrin the wandering aardvark'
But I ran out of interesting creatures...I'll stay as Peregrin for a while.
Changing your name to interesting stuff causes more people to visit your user page... I deducted this from the premises that whenever I load up the current users H2G2 box thingy, I always click on the more interesting names. And when I kept changing my name, my counter went up about 20 a day, but now I'm using plain old Peregrin again, it's about 1 a day. But I think it's a bit egocentric trying to get people to visit your page solely to get your webcounter up.
Hmm... I'll starting to be too intelligent. I must be sobering up. Five of Pureéd Starling please.

Well, if there'd be another Festival, they've disguised themselves very well, 'cos I didnt find them before. But I guess it's very unlikely that anyone will copy the Skeleton-thingy
Some people still associate me with the old Festival-name too, but that'll pass soon enough. I've seen it happen on IRC lots of times

"I don't remember ever having 'talked' with you"
That's not entirely accurate... I should have said: I don't remember having talked with you while I still was Festival. Sorry for the glitch.

Yeah, you're right about that name-changing thing... some people just *keep* changing it, and that's what I consider weird. In fact they're just faking their counter up. It would be better to create interesting pages that are associated with your name (being the author).
I myself don't need or use a counter on my intro here. I just don't see the point

That's okay - if you're a Beatles fan I'm sure we'll talk more often?

A fan? Not really, although I don't hate or loath their music either I actually *do* like it, but I'm an ABBA-fan.

ABBAs good - I get along with that - it seems everyone's becoming an ABBA fan at the moment! If I had to say what my favorite ABBA song was, I wouldn't know.

Hmm, I'd have a hard time naming my favorite ABBA song too, but that's more because I think they made so many good ones.
The current hype is a little hard for me to dig, tho... The A-teens just aren't ABBA, and the added beats don't fit in with my ABBA-experience either.
Does that make any sense?
