Yes, tell us!
I've been trying to find if I can get any money as I'm unemployed, but apparently I can't as I've been doing voluntary work and studying part-time to help get work experience and qualifications to help me find a job...
If I spent all day doing nothing, though, I'd be free to get jobseeker's benefit, but because I'm actually doing something, and spending money on bus fares etc. whilst doing it and rapidly running out of cash, I can't.

No tis true, when I was unemployed I was doing voluntary work to try and get experience to get a job but they wouldn't give me JSA as I was doing voluntary work to try and get a job... likewise I couldn't register as unemployed without getting JSA so I ended up spending more than if I'd sat on my arse and fiddled it

Yep, that's the situation I'm in. And the job centre is convinced I'm a student, which is worse, as I'm not. I'm just doing a quick course for a couple of weeks, and NOT AT UNIVERSITY!
