Rum or Kahlua would be fine...
As for the kids, daughter #1 (Natalie) is turning five next month and starts kindergarten next fall.
Daughter #2 (Meredith) is just five months and is getting teeth.
Since nobody at my house is sleeping, we (Natalie and I) spent the night on the deck outside looking up at the sky.
Quite fun actually!
She knows who Orion is. And she can find the Pleadies and the Dog Star. Quite a bright young thing[1] and learning all the time!
[1]Never ask me about the kids, I'm the proud parent type!
it's all over...

I like the names - and stargazing with them sounds fun. Be proud away - knowing the plejadies at the age of five is REALLY bright!
Do they - or Natalie at least - enjoy your ghost stories too?
and did you see many fireballs? I woke up every full hour (busy alarmclock), but all I saw were clouds... they just dispersed this afternoon, and I saw 3 fireballs in the last 3 hours - petty count
there's only the hope for the geminides left for me, on December 13th...
it's all over...

We're going to try again tonight. Pretty heavy around 4:30 am here, not meteor storm magnitude, but pretty heavy. A couple of good fireballs, but more little streakers. (And I don't mean the kids!)
it's all over...

I used to be a member of the Vectis Astronomical Society, long ago.

Just the astronomical society on the Isle of Wight, (the Roman name for the Isle of Wight was "Vectis").
I even had some articles published in it's magazine called "The Zeneth"
