Yes, I know it's been 2 1/2 years since you wrote this entry, but I wanted you to know that there are those out there who know Gronigen, too! I visited about 5 years ago and loved it. I stayed with a friend who lived on a houseboat just across from the train station. Groningen is where I met stroopwafels for the first time, saw (and enjoyed) my first hash bar, discovered that cannabis, beer, houseboats, and wind do not mix, found a record shop that sold only death metal and country & western, and saw Cradle of Filth play at Vera. I loved it there. In fact, I'm planning to go back this April!
