Eeyore

Hi there, Ginger, me old mate. *hic* You’re great, you know that? You’re my best mate in the whole world – an I really mean that. *hic*

Sorry Ginger. Got carried away there. Now where was I? Oh yes, visited your page, saw your request for slang words meaning drunk and I’m posting a few additional UK ones here. Hope they come in handy.

A couple of variants on some you already have: Drunk as a skunk in a trunk, Pissed as a parrot.

One which may be a Liverpool peculiarity: Merry-legged.

An old-fashioned one: Stinko.

Some others: Pixilated, Crapulent, Mellow, Having had a drop too much, In one’s cups, Half-seas over, Fighting drunk, Tight, Well-bottled, Blind drunk.

You’ll have to excuse me now, mate – I need to go and speak to God on the big white telephone. *hic*
