Tennis ball

You can have endless fun with a tennis ball, you can throw it in the air, throw it at a wall, at the floor, at a freind, at a stranger, at your food, your computer (not advisable), a tree, as a last resort you can even hit it with a racket.
The wondrous ball

Great heaven! I have left out probably the oldest toy...the ball!
Tennis balls, rubber balls of all types for bouncing, catching, etc., etc. Balloons, and the hoop and stick I suppose are also related to this catagory, as well as it's retro format, the 'hula' hoop.
Balls are right up there with cardboard boxes and pots and pans as generic, basic toys.
