Hi all.

Somehow I'm never sure how many people actually get my emails so I decided to make a try here.
There are topics for new photos in the files section since Easter, but only one person submitted any photos. I just want to know: are they the wrong topics? (2 of them even were on the wish-list someone wrote a few weeks ago) Or does nobody have time? Or does everyone forget? Or is nobody interested in taking pictures anymore? Would it be better to set a deadline, would that be more motivation?

No idea what to do.

This will encourage a new membership as well.

Well, someone wanted to become member (see last thread), he got an invite but I never heard of him again.

I wanted to join and received an email and responded to the link on Yahoo! But was no wiser after I had done so. Was I a member or not? Don't know. If I was, what happens next? Don't know. How do I see anyone's photos, how do I submit my own, how does anything happen? It is a mystery...I'm sorry, so far I am at a loss.

You have to make yourself a yahoo account and then when you log into yahoo there's a button called 'groups'. When you are a member and press the button you should see the photographers group.

First you need to get a Yahoo ID

Then visit here

I think we all are Opti we need to make the process simple.
Tav if there any photos in any of the albums that are right for an entry, cant you just use them none of us would mind. If we want to offer an alternative then its up to us to post a photo within a suitable time.

Opti I mentioned this before, cant the Post use some of our photos

Bob that's a question for KB and Mala not me. I merely contribute, I don't put it together. I personally would be happier having a list on the forum and submitting photos to that, like the artists than photoing stuff I'm not interested in. Ok I've put my foot in it but that's my feeling right now.

But then the Artist's system is very different. I prefer our voting system. If we have a whole list of Entries chance is big that only one person will take pictures for one Entry which may not help in quality matters. I'm also afraid that with a huge list of Entries people will get even more lazy/unmotivated.
As for taking the pictures out of someones album: first of all I'd have to search all albums every time we get new subjects for phots, and that's much. Second I'm not even sure who is still here and which albums are just left behind by people who are long gone.

Which in fact gets me to a different matter: have you ever taken a look at our member list? I have last week and I thought 'who are all those people'? I really don't know who is still with us and who isn't and maybe it would be a good idea to delete all the people who aren't there anymore.
