I've uploaded a couple of photos to the files folder - I hope that's the correct way of doing it.

Quick question for a group mod, is there a policy on replacing blobs with photos in older entries? I'm off to Venice next week, and the entry has a blob, but I think a photo gives a much better sense of the place.

I don't know the policy, but in this particular case, I think the current blob is fantastic. No photo can portray all the things the blob does. Just my

I believe the 'policy' is that the Eds prefer to use BBC photos where they possibly can.

I assume you mean A190045). That blob is the work and time of a Community Artist, there's no question of it being replaced with a photo. 
You could write a Venice entry from a different angle and use your own photo that way.
