My dad is really into his digital photography and has a camera with loads of buttons / menus and stuffs.
He does look down on my camera (which he recomended to me) because it is basically point and click. Aside from my band stuff (which just involves turning off the flash + up the exposure) I don't fiddle with any settings.
He was round the other day and was taking pictures of some planes at Mancy airport. Each photo involved setting the white balance / ISO settings etc etc and were never quite right! Then pressing buttons without his glasses on, he deleted all the photos!
Since all my stuff ends up on the net or hacked massivly for posters, my point and click thing does me fine

Mine's not fancy, it's just a slimline basic digital camera, with a smaller viewer screen than all the new ones out now. The functions are basic, I just come across the ones I don't use by accident. One of the ones I discovered today was that in 'Playback Mode' I can get thumb prints of the photos on the viewer screen, I'm sure all digi-cameras have that, I just wasn't aware mine had it.
Until recently, I didn't know I had white balance, I come across it from time to time, and never know what it's actually for, or how to get it when I think I actuaaly might need it.
For a while I couldn't get my flash to work, so I tried using my partners digi-camera, that was fun, you need to press buttons from turning it on just to get it into camera/capture mode, way too complicated for me, I gave it straight back to him.
I managed to get my flash working, though hardly use it as I prefer to take photo outside, I seem to mess up when I use the flash, so I try to avoid using it.

Scorp, I did try that once, found the make, but couldn't find info corresponding to the number on my camera, I'll try again when I get aroundtuit.
