Hiya. I don't take very many photographs these days, but if you need someone skilled in reducing the number of colours in an image, resizing, cropping etc. then I'd like to offer my services. I'm already a CA, but I don't get round to drawing pictures as often as I would like to; I find photo manipulation to be far less time consuming.

I'd also be happy to "tutor" photographers who want to learn the basics of digital manipulation, time permitting.

I've let the forum know, so either GB or Wilma (I don't think any one else has the privellegesm), will pop over and invite you into the scheme.

I'm only just wondering how they'll do it without an email addy?

Doubtless this is the wrong place; as I am virtually useless at the manipulation part. I can just about take an object from one pic and put it in another location; but that's about it. However, I'd really like to know more about the whole volunteer process please, if I'm permitted.
I spend a lot of time taking pictures mostly places, natural world etc and wondered if requirements will be there for submission of pics to go into another's edited entry. I didn't like to go to the link posted above without an invite.

I just made my first posting to the group.
Five minutes on, and it hasn't appeared in the list yet.
Are you moderating the group pro-actively, or is Yahoo! just broken again?

For some reason they take time - and they don't always appear in sequence either One thing I have noticed though is that if you post 'onsite' as opposed to email in, your message pops up faster. It is still not immediate though.

I posted onsite; I never exchange emails.
I'm a member of the "Community Artists", and we have a Yahoo! group too. Most of the time your messages appear within thirty seconds, yet occasionally they can take up to a day.

I could also help with photo manipulation. I had to drop out of the Community Artists because I didn't have the time for that much drawing, but photos are a *whole* lot easier, and I have a new computer and the latest version of PhotoShop at my beck and call.
I also have a lot of photos of different subjects, although only a few that are UK-centric ... I'd be more than happy to take any NY-centric photos that are needed! Let me know if you want my help.
