Why does my home page keep forgetting me? I'm getting rather Marvin about this, sometimes it's OK, other times it looks like I've not entered anything. Help!!!

It might be a cookie problem - you should make sure cookies are enabled in your browser & you should make sure that "Remember me" is ticked in your User Details (http://www.h2g2.com/UserDetails )
The other possible cause of the problem is pages being cached somwwhere between h2g2 & your browser - some ISPs cache pages on proxy servers etc & this can result in pages displaying incorrectly.
Also, of course, you should check to make sure no one else is using your 'puter to access h2g2

It could also be the occasional glitch with the servers - we have had the odd occasiona when the web servers can't see the database, and that makes it look like your identity has been forgotten. If it corrects itself, then that's what the problem is. If it's permanent, then it's a cookie problem with your browser.

Thanks for your help, I did suspect it was a problem with the server, it does correct itself. By the way, stop talking about cookie whilst I'm on a diet!!!!!!
