Am very new to all of this, am looking at what there is, so far the instructions have been great. As in I like the humor. Where would I go to find FAQ? One is that I would like to change number to name.

To change your number to a name, you go to your homepage and on the right on the splodgy bit of your screen, you'll see a button labelled 'my details' click that. You should then be able to change your name, password, enter in your real name (or stay anonymous) and change your e-mail address.

Having just visited your homepage, I'd like to welcome you to H2G2. Usually, that's the ACE's job (Assistent Community Editor), but sometimes other people get there first. If you have any questions, just click on my name and the link will take you straight to my homepage, but alternatively you could find someone else who looks like they actually know what they're doing...
As you haven't written anything on your homepage yet, I'm forced to greet you here and so will everyone else. To do this, you find the same splodgy bit on your screen and there is an 'edit page' button, click on that. You don't have to write much, even a blank space will do, but it means that people can start conversations on your homepage and generally be nice to you.
