Under Construction

Under Construction is a cryptic message commonly used on global information retrieval networks. It is commonly seen in the form of an unnecessary graphic or a blinking, capitalised or otherwise over-emphasised text message. The meaning of this phrase is as follows: "This page will never again be updated, remaining dormant and useless for the rest of time."
Some individuals have interpreted the Under Construction messages strewn across the networks to be the work of some advanced and long-forgotten civilisation. Thousands of man-hours have been dedicated to piecing together the secrets of lost ages from these scattered clues... to no avail. Other groups insist that the messages are actually secret markers for some massive, sinister government project. I can state now with certainty that there is absolutely no truth in this totally unfounded theory whatsoever... it is pure fiction.
