OK then I think I'll give you the answer.
It's 'My Father's Eyes'.

Okay, this is as far as I've gotten so far (and it seems to have been a bit since I was here, as well. ) But, FATC, you're singin onna my favs.
But there ain't too much sadder than
The tears of a clown
When there's no one around.

Mike and Gnarly seem to have taken this one over but I'm gonna breathe new life (I hope) into it. However it seems that no one here listens to Ozzy? (The one waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up ^there was Eighteen. ) Fine. Then you probably won't recognize these either (no not Ozzy), but some of the 'absentees' might:
1)
"If I only had a dollar,
for every song I've sung
Every time I've had to play
while people sat there drunk."
***
2)
"Old McDonald, he made us work,
But then he paid us for what it
for what it was worth...
Another tank of gas and
back on the road again."
***
3)
"She's coming for me, I know,
And on we're both gonna go"
'Nonnie

Ok one out of three is bad I know--1)You know I'd catch the next
train back to where I live
Oh! Lord I'm stuck in Lodi again.
Yeah I know that's a little more than the title, but I just felt like singing..

'nonymouse! I'd been thinking about how you never seem to come out of your little hole. I remember the days in which we always seemed to end up sharing a conversation. Takes you right back to the 'Heavy Rules & Legal Stuff' days, doesn't it?
And you never answered the question I asked you in monsy's hottub.
Gnarly, Pilgrim is the album Eric Clapton released last year. Another blues job. Have u noticed the way Chronicles is less of a 'best of EC' and more of a 'lets forget everything EC did apart from his blues'. Some of the choices seem a bit odd. Since when has It's In The Way That You Use It (*titter*) warrented being on a 'v best of' album?

Sweet Jesus!
Is this suddenly the worst place to post a message?
Has Name That Tune suddenly gone out of fashion?

Fate Amenable To Change Posted Dec 13, 1999
hmm.. Name That Tune with people who insist on only using rawk songs... Hmm..
But Hey if you can't beat 'em...
"I can't remeber anything
Can't tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
This terrible silence stops me
Now that war is thru with me
I'm waking up I cannot see
That there's not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now..."
or, for some light relief.. name this band!..
"In the land of the Grey and Pink where all the ? come to ?
They'll be coming back again those nasty grimy gremlins they're climbing down your chimney, yes they're trying to get in
Trying to take your money now isn't that a sin they're so thin
So we sail away for just one day to the land where the puff weed grows
Won't need any money Just fingers and our toes
And when it's dark our boat will park on a land of warm and green
We'll pick our fill of puffweed and smoke it till we bleed
that's all we need
derr derr derr..?
Don't leave your dad in the rain"

Rawk songs?
Not sure about that...
And I have no clue about those lyricy things.
Although the second one sounds a bit like Holy Smoke.

O.K. so here's a dead give away but it is one of my favourites :
The band is just fantastic that is really what I think,
Oh by the way, which one is Pink ?

Yes, indeedy. Lodi -- A CCR hit, but it always makes me think of my Lobo "Of A Simple Man" tape that someone stole. *sigh*
Okay.. one down, two to go.

Heehee.. Kinda reminds me of this one:
"Beware of being the roller
When there's nothin' left to roll."

Come on bub, surely you're not too busy to answer my question?
The one left unanswered for over a month.
And don't fob me off with a quick "nope". Give it some thought, dude!
