Scurlage is a village about 20 miles from my home town, Swansea. It's crying out for a definition but I'm damned if I can't get the image of horribly large amounts of diseased skin out of my head when I think of it (Bill Bryson thought the same too). Anybody think of anything more wholesome?

How about this then.
Scurlage n. The name given to a really bad permanent wave. These are usually bottle blonde, have scraggy ends and dark roots.
